Pets

  • There are only two places in Coronado that permit dogs off leash: The Coronado Cays Dog Park (inside the designated dog run) and Dog Beach.
  • Most parks in Coronado do not allow leashed dogs. The City of Coronado website has additional information. The City has rules on licensing requirements, restricted places, and defecation removal in Title 32 of the Municipal Code
  • Grand Caribe Shoreline Park, a Port of San Diego Park, allows dogs on leash.

Parking

  • Park as long as you would like in your garage or in your assigned spot in the Kingston or Montego carports
  • Parking is restricted to no more than 72 hours:
    • On public streets in the City of Coronado (which is most of the Cays), including the spots in front of the Jamaica Clubhouse.
    • In HOA-managed off-street parking spaces in Bahama, Trinidad, and Mardi Gras.
    • Boats, trailers, or motor vehicles may be parked in a driveway for up to 72 hours provided they are in operable condition and not blocking the sidewalk.
      • Vehicles parked in the driveway need to be perpendicular to the street. The exception is when actively charging an EV.
  • Parking is prohibited from midnight to 6 am in the Clubhouse lots (Bahama, Trinidad) and the Admin Complex. Parking in the designated clubhouse parking lots is for the purpose of attending a function at the clubhouse. The only exception is when actively charging an EV in the Admin parking lot.
  • You may parallel park in front of your own driveway, EXCEPT on Tunapuna, Delaport, and South Cays Court. Those roads have fire lane restrictions and you cannot park parallel in front of your own driveway

Smart Home Ownership Tips

  • Water damage is disruptive, expensive and in many cases preventable.  Two terrific additions for any homeowner:
    • Moen makes a Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff device that actively tracks water flow to your house (and can shut it off remotely as well).  Devices like these can alert you to unexpected water flow via an app even if you are out of town.  You can purchase this device (or a similar product) to fit either a ¾ inch or 1” water pipe.  We require a licensed plumber to install this device in the Village Condominiums, we recommend using a licensed plumber for Village Town Homes, Village Residences, and Custom Homes.
    • Water Leak detectors are another fantastic product that can save a homeowner a lot of headaches.  They can alert homeowners to leaks with both audible alarms and via an app to your phone.  We recommend placing these under hot water heaters, under sinks, behind toilets, and around washing machines.
